Hello World! This is Dadoo, I'm a guest reviewer for this particular book. I've been running for about 3 years now and I have come across many of Fitzgerald's books before but this book particularly stood out because it is Fitzgerald's first-hand account of his time training as an elite runner with the Hoka team in AZ. I must admit that I have not finished this book yet but so far I am a fan. It is a very vivid picture of the work and mind state necessary to train at the very highest level. My only complaint is that it does not offer a schedule of Fitzgerald's daily runs and workouts. For a running folk like me, this would have been interesting to see how his training progressed. He does talk about many of his workouts but it would have created a fuller picture to have the exact workouts and paces to refer to. Aside from that I have enjoyed the book and will write a final report when I finish reading!
